Loving the making of something and getting lost in the words is definitely what keeps me going. Looking forward to reading your novel in its entirety!

All the best,
LizLiz Alterman https://www.blogger.com/profile/09788046240563932461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4837199272052362544.post-74451660486718777192022-09-24T05:27:43.519-07:002022-09-24T05:27:43.519-07:00This is a great post for writers to read. Too many of us have been led to believe that there is a place we get to where we are “done.” For someone like me still in the trying-to-get-an-agent phase, that feels like the finish line. But then I see a friend who got an agent now has a different finish line. Her book is out on submission and she’s waiting for yet another undetermined length of time for that process. You have books published and are at a different phase of the journey that comes with it’s own serious challenges. I definitely have days that make me wonder why we do it! But then I spend an afternoon playing with a piece and just get lost in the words and am (briefly) totally happy with my creation. The Perfect Neighborhood is my next read.D.
